Have I ever told you how much I love this beautiful creature and how incredibly blessed I feel to be her cat mom?
I
am simply amazed at how much Qandi has been through in her 16+ years of
life and how she always manages to overcome whatever challenges come
her way and carry on. She teaches me resilience every single day.
Last
week she got her hair and nails done, as well as a facial, by a cat
groomer who was recommended by her vet. Qandi's nails were clipped, her
face was cleaned, and her matted fur was shaved. The matting was so bad
that most of her body was shaved, except for her head, tail, and parts
of her legs. Seeing her without fur reinforces just how small and
fragile (but oh so tough) she is at just 5 lbs. She isn't too much
underweight; she's just always been a very small cat.
Some people
have commented that she looks cold, but I assure you she isn't. The
heat is turned up a few extra degrees just in case, but she is fine.
Whenever I pet her or hold her, her body is always warm. She feels like
velvet. ♥️
To follow up on her spa day, she had a vet appointment yesterday, mostly
to make sure she didn't have any skin irritation requiring antibiotics.
Thankfully, it is not bad and no antibiotics are needed.
Hopefully
now she will no have no place to go until her annual checkup in June.
Based on what I read online, her fur should grow back before then.
