16 years ago today when she was six months young, I brought this lovely lady home for the first time and we've been inseparable ever since. (Actually, we were inseparable from the moment she did her signature stop, drop, and curl in my lap when I held her for the first time at the shelter.)
When I adopted her, her name was "Candy". I kept her name, but a few years later, I changed the spelling to "Qandi". Same pronunciation and basically the same meaning. The difference is that "Qandi" is an Arabic word. Like my name!
I took this picture almost five years ago. It's one of my favorites of her.
