Happy Birthday, Stephanie and Happy International Puzzle Day to all, especially to my fellow puzzle enthusiasts! Yes, there's a day just for us and it happens to be on Stephanie's birthday every year! That's why I've decided to start a label on my blog, which was originally started in her memory, just for puzzles that you can do! Just click on the image above to get started! It should open a new window with the puzzle. This is a 437 piece puzzle. My intention is for several people to work on it on your own time over a period of time until it is complete. You don't need to save anything when you leave. Once pieces are locked into their correct spot, they will stay that way even if you close the screen and go back later. If you lose track of the link, you can always come back here and just click on the picture again! Don't be alarmed if you see pieces magically being moved around. That just means someone else is in there working on it, too! When this puzzle is complete, I will post a new one.
For the first puzzle, I took my profile picture and made it into a puzzle on Jigsaw Explorer. The heart symbol has special meaning to me. Back when you had to make the heart using symbols on your keyboard, Stephanie wanted me to show her how to make the heart symbol. I had planned on showing her in person, but I never had a chance to do that. I am sure she now knows, and every time I see a heart, I think of her.
My profile picture is made up of coral chip beads that form the heart. Stephanie was my beading buddy. In fact, she is the one who got me started on this hobby. We used to spend hours together shopping for beads and making beaded jewelry. The two of us alone surely kept the bead industry thriving! The heart made of beads in my profile picture is a reminder that although my heart is broken, it is still whole.
