Dear Stephanie,

I have not been feeling my best today, mentally and emotionally. Everyone has those kinds of days sometimes, right? I wish I could call you up and talk to you about it, but it helps to know you're reading this from above.

Life can be messy. Messy was the word I chose in January to help shape my year. (Little did I know exactly how messy it would be...lol.) To embrace the messy side of life is to find joy in our days, ESPECIALLY when that joy is not completely clear.

Today I found joy in a midday mindfulness break with my new friends from an online health and wellness platform and a new dance class with a fitness platform that was challenging and fun. Neither of those might have become a part of my life if not for this quarantine lifestyle. I even found joy in going to the doctor. The appointment went well and it was a nice, serene drive. I also felt very safe with all the precautions my doctor has been taking. The silver lining. It's always there. We just have to pause to notice it.

As you probably know, a couple weeks ago, I had my first episode of tachycardia in two years. And then a couple more followed after that. I'm fine, but every time I drive from point A to point B, or complete a workout, or simply make it through the day without another episode, I am grateful. That's why I can find a simple pleasure in a drive to the doctor.

Anyway, I just thought I'd write to you. No special occasion. Just wanted to share my thoughts with you. Until next time...

Luv ya lots (as you would say),
Meezan
