Dear Fellow Customer,
I saw you yesterday at the grocery store. You were wearing a mask like everyone else was, but there was something different about you. When you walked by me, our gazes met for a fleeting moment and I noticed the crinkles that gently framed your eyes. They told me that, underneath your mask, you were smiling.
Some wonder how it's possible to smile in such a messy world, but I understand. You are probably well-aware of the state of the world. There's a lot of suffering. It can be hard to be happy. But you see it. You see that life is beautiful and that there is also a lot of healing. You are unafraid to show others the beauty in this imperfect world.
So please. Please keep smiling. The world needs you to spread this joy. Don't keep it to yourself. You have a gift for finding comfort in an uncomfortable world. Continue to share that comfort with us. Please keep showing us those crinkles that gently frame your eyes.
Sincerely,
Meezan
