A Decade Ago Revisited

Over the past few days I've been pondering the significance of the date, March 29th. It felt familiar to me, but I couldn't quite put my finger on exactly what it meant...until today was finally here. It occurred to me this morning that exactly a decade ago today, I saw Stephanie for the last time. It was a cool, misty day, much like it is on this very day as I glance out the window. Back then, we were celebrating her birthday belatedly at the Baltimore Aquarium.

Times sure do change, though, don't they? Who would have thought ten years later the world would be in the midst of a pandemic? While this situation certainly is challenging us in a number of ways, it is also an opportunity to experience life from a different perspective. Since we are not able to venture out to museums in person, many are offering free virtual tours. I feel very grateful to have this modern day luxury - the ability to visit the world's museums from the comfort of my own home.

So I took the opportunity today to "visit" the Baltimore Aquarium. Virtually, I took a stroll through the different areas and I clicked on some of them to learn more. It's the first time since that sweet day back on March 29, 2010 that I've been back to the Baltimore Aquarium. I enjoyed this trip down Memory Lane.
