I keep saying one thing I'd like to do more of is writing. There are a number of things holding me back, all of which are in my control.

Today I decided to just dive in and get started. Specifically, I'd like to do more pen to paper writing...you know, the old-fashioned kind before computers became so common. However, I wanted to track my word count, so I decided to take the easier route and type this. Eventually (soon) I will have a better idea of what 100 words looks and feels like, then I will start writing it on paper. The 100-word strategy is something I thought I'd try because limits help me stay focused.

The following describes my walk from this morning. Although I did see a bunny today, the picture was taken last week.
PATCH
I stepped into the rainforest under the canopy of overcast skies. Soft breezes gently brushed my face, paving the way for a cool, but tropical walk. As I approached the top of the hill, I scanned the greenery, looking for soft brown patches with black marble eyes. Nothing. I continued on the paved path. To my delight, on the return trip my eyes met with a bunny in the distance casually, but cautiously, breaking fast in the grassy field. It became a contest of who could stay the longest. Not wanting to be a deterrence, I conceded and headed home.
